Overview

A Listed Georgian property previously owned by an eccentric aristocrat whose hobby was flying autogyros. Falling into disrepair, it was bought by our client who wished to turn it into a wedding venue. Working closely with the Conservation Officer, we made sensitive alterations and added a large extension to provide the facilities required.

In 2019 we succeeded in gaining planning approval for a change of use to transform this residential Listed Building compound into a residential wedding venue reception, bed and breakfast accommodation with alterations to the buildings to form new Ceremonial Hall, bar and single storey link to The Stables.

The project also required an extensions, alterations and conversion of The Stables to dining and reception area with first floor area and toilets. The extended stables provided formation of a plant room with new kitchens, staff rooms and storage areas. The construction also provided 10-bedroom bed and breakfast accommodation, landscaping, carpark and improvements to access.
